Citizen Action/Illinois believes that democracy is fundamental to achieving social, political and economic justice. We support measures to:
Ensure that everyone has a say in shaping our society by assuring the right to vote, eliminating barriers to voting and requiring votes to be counted fairly and accurately.
Eliminate the undue influence of private money in our election system.
Protect civil and political rights of all including free speech and the right to petition and act collectively, including unionization.
