Citizen Action/Illinois believes that everyone should have the right to affordable and accessible high-quality health care and health security through universal health care coverage. We support measures to:
Protect and expand the Affordable Care Act (ACA) including creating an option for public health insurance.
Allow Medicare, Medicaid and the ACA to negotiate for lower prescription drug prices and increased coverage such as hearing, vision and dental.
Develop and implement a public universal health care system.
