Citizen Action/Illinois Releases 2026 State Legislative Scorecard, Highlighting Legislators’ Votes on Key Issues

CHICAGO, IL – Citizen Action/Illinois, the state’s largest progressive political and policy coalition, proudly announces the release of its 2026 State Legislative Scorecard. The interactive scorecard serves as a valuable resource for Illinoisans, shedding light on elected officials' voting records on crucial issues in the areas of healthcare affordability, worker protections, consumer protections, gun safety, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant rights, reproductive rights, and more.

The State Legislative Scorecard empowers voters with an informed understanding of their legislators’ positions and decision-making. By tracking key votes taken during the legislative session on various issues, the legislative scores provide a snapshot of how active members have been in advancing progressive interests this past session.

"The Legislative Scorecard is a powerful tool for Illinoisans who want to hold their elected officials accountable and stay informed about the decisions that impact their lives," said Anusha Thotakura, Executive Director of Citizen Action/Illinois. "With thousands of bills filed each legislative session, we’ve focused on those that best reflect a legislator’s commitment to social, economic, and racial justice. These scores show who is truly fighting for everyday Illinoisans—and who is voting in lockstep with corporate interests.”
