Illinois Campus Vote Program

Citizen Action/Illinois is engaging and mobilizing young voters in the 2024 election cycle

What We’re Doing

The Campus Vote Fellows are on a mission to turn out the student vote. With over 20,000 college students in our focus area, we’re tapping into the most progressive, yet often overlooked, voting bloc.

How We Do It

Our fellows hit high-traffic spots on campus, getting students to pledge to text five friends to vote. Then, closer to Election Day, we’re right there again—this time getting those texts sent on the spot. And on Election Day? We’re outside the polls, making sure every vote counts.

Why It Matters

In close elections, every vote makes a difference. Our strategy is simple, effective, and proven to increase turnout. When students show up, progress wins.

How You Can Support
